Most of them get cash,
Where I live in a chicago suburb, we got flooded in the last 3 years with them, it is just insane the amount of people who arrived in such a short time,
You'll see them in the store buying everything in cash,
maybe some of the have my or your SSN, those guys don't respect anything...

I am a lil bit confused here. If there is a job that requires little or NO EXPERIENCE, would it be hard to find a US Citizen?

That is the reason that PERM labor certification requires employer to provide proof that enough advertizing was done and no US citizen was qualified AND willing to accept the job, before deciding to go for an Alien.

Dont Advertise on the board and we are not doing call center jobs here to learn american accent.
by saying this, you are belittling the people who do call center jobs in india.
speaking without a thick indian accent can be great for your career..because, while communication skills may not be important to be a programmer, it does get important when you are speaking in a meeting, or giving a presentation .
having said that, i would ask the admins to delete this thread. This is just advertising. Im sure all of us can google ways to improve our communication skills/improve english/speak in american accent or whatever it is we want to do.

Has anyone had an experience with h1 restamping at Mumbai when they were not resident of Mumbai Embassy district.
I have an apptmt in Mumbai for May 12th for an H-1 staming and I am WORKING in USA and the address in the passport is in KERALA (Chennai consulate).
This is the response to a MAIL that I had sent to the MUMBAI consulate!!

It is advisable to apply in your own district. That is the last place in India where you resided for at least 6 months before going to the U.S.

Embassy or Consulate at an applicant's designated consulate are generally more familiar with his or her circumstances and documents than the officers somewhere else would be.You should also be aware that even if this post allows you to apply, it is still possible that the interviewing officer will refuse to adjudicate your case and will refer you to your own district anyway.
Application fees in this case will NOT be refunded.

I now wish to transfer my H1B to the LLC I partially own. My questions are:

Just got a word from our attorney that my case was approved on 09/08/2010. In my case USCIS did not update the website with the approved status! Not even a soft LUD.... I don't know their operating standard!
Thanks for many of you reading my post! So now you know even with out USCIS website update there is a chance that ones case would be approved.
Lesson learnt: Always check with attorney!
Now on to the final hurdle! I-485.

Is the intention to tie up ability to file I-485 with the newly proposed 2-tier processing of AOS cases i.e. step 1) pre-adjudication and step 2) issuance of GC once the visa numbers are available?
I am thinking to start solid campaign for EAD and AP when pre filling for 485. Its in very begining stage. Once I get how many can join hand we can start a funding drive and some aggressive campaign for it. DHS and DOL are studing how to resolve this on going problem for Highly Skilled immigrants.at the end of day admin may come with pre filling for highly skilled.

logiclife, I am not sure whether we can file the 485 on our own with a letter from the employer. The letter from the employer is part of the "Initial Evidence" required to file the 485 petition. Here is a snippet from the immigration-law website talking about the importance of submitting the initial evidence at the time of filing. There is a high possibility that your I-485 petition will get denied(without an RFE) if you don't submit it without a letter from the employer.

Previously, the so-called Yates memo indirectly required the agency to avoid rejection and denial with a recommend to issue RFEs as much as possible. It is thus likely that the Service Centers will more aggressively reject or deny the I-485 applications where the "initial evidence" are missing in the filing packet. It is thus very important that people understand the definition of "initial evidence." The initial evidence varies between the nonimmigrant and immigrant proceedings and for that matter, each type of proceedings. The immigration regulation lists in details the initial evidence. However, the instructions sheets to each petition or application lists the initial evidence that are required for filing. Accordingly, beginning from today, people may want to read the instruction sheet for I-485 form carefully to learn the list of initial evidence and not to miss omitting these evidence in filing I-485 applications.

It seems I spoke too soon about having that bold problem tucked away. It does work like I mentioned. However if upon opening the window i first click the bold button then click in the textbox, the bold button will return to its unClicked state. It is only if i first click the bold button and begin typing without clicking in the textbox before typing that it retains its isChecked state and the text is bold.

Replied RFE with copy of 485 receipt and copy MTR approval and got 3 years H1 extension until 2013.

I am sorry to hear you are still wading through the labor cert stuff. Mike Delph has little or no knowledge of how the immigration system works. My family and I found this out over six years ago when he worked for Dan Burton.

I did call them... They didn't provide me the details of the Additional evidence and asked me to wait for the Notice.. Also they said they will be sending it to my address.. I was under the impression that they will be sending it to my lawyer.
